Our evaluations have focused on foster youth, women’s health,
LGBTQ youth, domestic violence, dual diagnosis, housing, homelessness,
juvenile and criminal justice, substance abuse, and women’s

The
Women’s Foundation of California

|
The
Women’s Foundation of California Foundation launched
the Women’s Policy Institute (WPI), an innovative training
program that works to increase the number of community-based
women leaders who are actively involved in shaping and implementing
policies affecting the health and well-being of women and
girls in California.
Through
a combination of retrospective pre-tests and interviews, Korwin
Consulting is working with the Foundation to evaluate whether
and how WPI participants and their respective organizations
experience changes in leadership, advocacy and public policy
capacity and practices as a result of participation in WPI. |
Contra
Costa Safe Schools Coalition

The
Contra Costa Safe Schools Coalition (CCSSC) is a collaborative
of youth-serving organizations committed to enhancing the
mental and physical health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
and questioning/queer (LGBTQ) and all youth in Contra Costa
County. Through education, advocacy and support, CCSSC members
help to create safer school environments for all.
Through
observation, development of process and outcome evaluation
tools, and an online data collection system, Korwin Consulting
works closely with coalition members to evaluate the impact
of this collective effort. |
Youth
Offering Unique Tangible Health (Y.O.U.T.H. Training Project)

The
Y.O.U.T.H. Training Project uses an innovative, interactive
youth developed and delivered curriculum providing child welfare
staff with the instruction and tools needed to assist transition
aged foster youth in making a successful transition to independence
and achieving self-sufficiency.
Korwin
Consulting partners with the Project through administration
of retrospective pre-tests, online follow-up surveys, focus
groups, interviews and journals to evaluate both youth leadership
as well as improved social worker outcomes. |
Next
Door Solutions to Domestic Violence

Next
Door Solutions is a Santa Clara-based comprehensive domestic
violence agency. Next Door offers a full range of programs
and services to help break the cycle of violence, from
services giving immediate relief to families in need
to proactive services that help women and families move
their lives in healthy directions.
Through
a combination of key informant interviews, focus groups,
and data analysis, Korwin Consulting’s retrospective evaluation of HomeSafe, Next Door’s
transitional housing program, provides HomeSafe with the
information needed to evaluate and where necessary, modify
their program to better meet the needs of participating
women and children. |
